Acting President Kaj welcomed all members to tonight’s meeting, along with visiting ex exchange student Theresa Rudolph and tonight’s guest speaker David Swan.

Sick Bay report starting with President Rod who has Covid and not on holidays as planned . Rob Lieper who has had further test done and will find out a course of action this week . Neil with his arm and Graham with his back who are both back at tonights meeting.
We have had a request for funds from Operation Cleft Australia whom we donated money to last year. The Board will look at this but the general feeling was to continue with this funding again this year.
With our recent change from gas to power we have won an Horizon Power gift voucher at Retravision valued at $500.

Attended the District zoom conference. District amalgamation issues where discussed.

We have received an invoice for our RYLA attendee, and we may have another late application for this camp.

Xmas pageant organised , just need clean up team for Monday morning after the event.
Also a roster for NYE will be handed around at our next meeting.
 
Vocational:               Steve Schmedje
Oz day committee to stay behind after this meeting. Our OZ day council grant of $20k was successful so we have sponsorship now of some $38k. Shire paperwork will be handed in this week and we will have to inform stall holders to organise there own insurance if they want to attend.
 
International/ Foundation  Graham Mackenzie
            The new HWS needs to be secured from potential theft and will be taken care of.
B4H – final week of repairs for the Nulsen project with the bikes to be handed out at the last Nulsen  assembly of the year. I would like to thank those that have helped with this project notably Chris , Brad and Rod

Ken Jenkyn- JBs yard day was a success last week and he should have some new grass down before Christmas.
 
Neil McCullum- Crawford House standing chairs need to be on wheels and I will find out how many they need.

Scott got a late call up to Sergeant duties but managed to get most present notable Wes Graham for his 28 year Rotary Anniversary.

Guest Speaker – David Swan    EBYC
David gave an extensive run down on the progress of the Yacht Clubs new Marina build.  It has been 5 years in the making and work should start early next year.
The old marina is 40 years old and was built by the membership and has come to its lifes end and the new Marina will boost pens available from 34 to 55 at a cost of some $2.85M
Much red tape and countless hours of submissions has taken place and David gave high praise to some of the Clubs members not the least Stuart McIntyre who has saved the Club many thousands of dollars with his contributions. Davis address covered all aspects of the project from Government funding submissions to detailed engineering processes for the build.
