Rod thanked Corrina and Kaj for attending a meeting with Shelly Payne and himself last Tuesday for the presentation of the Lotterywest grant.
At the meeting local issues and the Clubs involvement in the community and projects that we are involved in, in addition to future projects. Shelly would like a demonstration of the driving simulator from Brian. This was a good meeting; look out for the posts on social media.
From the grant applications that were arranged and were successful in obtaining; $20,000 from the Shire, $15,000 from Lotterywest, $10,000 from Horizon Power, $10,000 from IGO & $15,000 combined from Lions and the Community Fundraising Group. This results in a grand total of $70,000 in grants, and the Board has approved to cover a shortfall of $20,000 if needed.
Rod has spoken to Todd Smith, Jatek Engineering, regarding the shed extension. Rod has told him to now draw up the plans and submit to the Shire for approval. We did discuss the fire wall and fire water availability, The idea of having an independent water tank for fire control was very expensive with the necessary specificications. Todd was planning  visit to the shed on Wednesday morning to review any other matters with any interested members.
There will be a Board meeting to be held at the Shed on the 7th August at 4PM.
